A celebration that truly reflects the spirit of Virtusa

This year’s Sinhala & Tamil New Year festivities brought the Virtusa family together like never before welcoming not just our people, but their families and little ones too. Held for the first time at the NCC Grounds, the celebration was filled with color, culture, and connection.

From vibrant Avurudu decorations and authentic treats to the excitement of Avurudu Kumara &Kumariya and the adorable Sigithi contests, every moment captured the warmth of our community. The cheers at the tug of war, the energy of the games, and the rhythm of the rabana and papare truly brought the Avurudu spirit to life.

At Virtusa, it’s moments like these that strengthen our bonds celebrating traditions, togetherness, and the people who make it all meaningful.

Virtusa was proud to be part of a memorable milestone at the Coventry University – National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) Graduation Ceremony held on 25th March 2026.

Our Joint Country Head, Denver De Zylva, attended the convocation as the Chief Guest, addressing an audience of over 450 graduates, parents, and distinguished guests. His keynote speech encouraged the graduating class to embrace continuous learning, remain industry-relevant, and build purpose-driven careers grounded in strong values.

A key message that resonated strongly was:

“Degrees alone do not make us future-ready. Relevance does.”

Denver also encouraged graduates to look beyond the code and the classroom, urging them to apply their skills to address global challenges and contribute towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.

We celebrated the day with creativity, connection, and empowerment starting with a relaxing Art Therapy session, followed by an all-day Island Market filled with vibrant energy.

The celebrations concluded with “Her and Him”, a Financial Wellbeing session focused on building awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations for a secure future.

More than a 5KM run, it was a celebration of commitment, resilience, and the power of moving forward together.
