Empowering the next generation of AI innovators!

Virtusa proudly hosted the Inside AI 2026 hands-on workshop, bringing together aspiring professionals for a day of immersive learning and real-world AI exploration.

Conducted by Laksiri Balasuriya, alongside Mohammed Salik and Sulakkhana Dissanayake, as part of the AI-Driven Sri Lanka (AIDSL) initiative by IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, the workshop gave participants practical insights into Artificial Intelligence and its enterprise applications.

From Agentic AI to developing an AI-native mindset and solving real business challenges, participants left better prepared for a world where AI is truly transforming workflows.

Virtusa Colombo Toastmasters Club achieved the Smedley Distinguished status for 2025/26 and secured its 10th Golden Club Award at Ovation 2026. The team also brought home the Dynamic Duo, Creative Content Newsletter, and Membership Retention awards.

Virtusa recently participated in the World Environment Day 2026 Youth-Corporate Climate Synergy Forum, organized by Biodiversity Sri Lanka, the British Council and Dilmah Conservation. The event connected university students and youth climate ambassadors with corporate leaders to collaborate on science-driven environmental solutions.

As part of the Climate Synergy Hub, the Virtusa team mentored more than 40 youth ambassadors. We provided strategic career guidance and reviewed innovative climate projects, including initiatives focused on marine conservation and coastal reef protection.

These ideas align closely with our ongoing environmental commitments, such as our support for Biodiversity Sri Lanka’s Life to Our Mangroves and Life to Our Forests restoration projects. The forum provided students with practical insights into corporate sustainability while establishing new pathways for dialogue, networking, and future collaboration.

Showing the true power of the community this Vesak.

Our teams turned compassion into direct action by hosting a vital blood donation drive and an ice cream dansala. This initiative allowed Virtusans to build authentic connections and spread joy across our extended community.

We are proud to share that the drive secured over 100 registrations and nearly 60 eligible blood donations, supporting local families. At Virtusa, community is a proud foundation.

One scoop at a time, spreading love and sweetness.

The energy was incredible at our Ice Cream Dansala, where Virtusans came together to share a sweet Vesak treat with the wider community.

For Virtusa, community is foundational; we believe in actively showing up and building connections. Distributing ice cream offered a simple, hands-on way to spread love, joy, and positive energy in the true essence of Vesak through generosity.

This vibrant, interactive activity was a refreshing experience for our employees, giving them an opportunity to engage directly and build authentic bonds with our extended community.
