I've been testing ESET nod32 on Windows 10 for the past several months and thus far I've had no false positives -- but I have seen system performance issues. I'm working on their tweeks to see if ESET is going to do anything with them... overall though, pretty thorough program for the novice user. It doesn't bog down your system like McAfee & Norton's does... so if you're looking for a great replacement for either of then - at this time, I am recommending ESET.

Random Tidbit....

When navigating to websites, you don't always have to type in the entire web-address...
Say you want to go to google... this is a ".com" web-address so to navigate there you could type "google" in the address bar and then hold the 'ctrl' key and press enter... this will input all other information needed in the address bar to navigate to that page...
If the webpage is a '.net' web-address, like speedtest.net, you would type in 'speedtest' then hold the 'shift' key and press enter.
What if you wanted to go to a '.org' web-address like the ever so popular Wikipedia pages.... you would type in Wikipedia & then hold down BOTH the 'shift' & 'ctrl' keys then press enter... granted this is an extra key to hold down, but thankfully they are both located next to each other and it's still faster than typing in the entire web-address...

If you have any questions regarding Window's upgrades or Antivirus protection for the newly established Windows 10, please don't hesitate to ask.
There are plenty AV programs that work with Windows 10 but the majority of them will still provide false positives while they sift through Microsoft's endeavors at stabilizing the operating system to be 'less virus prone' than their predeceasing versions of the OS

DMS Solutions has spent the better half of the past 3 years testing Windows 10 from both before it went live, to now, and while there are some minor quirks with both using as well as navigating through it - DMS Solutions strongly recommends performing the upgrade.
There are some issues with Cortana (its embedded search engine) and Edge (its Internet Explorer replacement) as well as data backup - the operating system itself is far more stable than anything they have produced in the past.
One of the unfortunate aspects, I have found, is backwards software incompatibilities. But that is to be expected with all operating system upgrades, including their competitor (Apple).

For a FREE antivirus, DMS Solutions has changed their original recommendation of AVAST and moved forward with the latest and greatest 'free AV" available... Which is: (wait for it)... (wait for it)... Lol: 360 Total Security !!! (their website will be posted below)... They have, by far, the best integrated system for a 'free' antivirus that you can find which is contributed in part by the fact that there is absolutely ZERO spam affiliated with them. Unlike Avast and other 'free-ware' AV products, 360 total security has none. It is a little tricky to use though, which is it's biggest downfall. Simply installing it gives you "adequate" protection but it does not provide with the "best" option by default and one needs to navigate to the section that allows them to turn on Avira & Bitdefender. -- If you do download this AV and need help turning on these two additional features, simply contact me and I'll be glad to help. I finally have my website up. Please feel free to visit it and if you know of anyone that is experiencing computer issues, tell them to contact me. I will certainly do everything I can to find a remedy or solution to their problem. Also, I have a goal of achieving 100 likes so if you could pass my page around, I would greatly appreciate it...

On the flipside, and in good news, the ransomware I spoke of earlier has been decreasing in numbers across the US - It is still existent, but not in as crucial of a state as it used to be. Unfortunately though, Antivirus programs cannot stop it from infecting your computer yet, but they are working on it.
