Watch It Wednesday: A Memorable Print Embellishment Moment at PRINTING United Alliance Expo

Hundreds of attendees gathered at the Sharp Electronics Corporation USA booth for a special appearance by New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera —one of baseball’s greatest closers and MLB’s all-time saves leader.

The event featured Mariano’s Leaf Trading Cards baseball card, produced on a Sharp digital press using the Unifoil Corporation’s Unilustre® DI stock, Color-Logic Inc embellishments, and Duplo USA Corporation UV Coater. The experience became even more memorable as Mariano signed cards and took photos with attendees.

The biggest highlight, however, was the spotlight on the Mariano Rivera Save 653 Foundation, which helps open doors and create opportunities for young people. Supporting youth may ultimately become one of Mariano’s greatest achievements beyond the baseball field.

A special shout-out to Sharp and Atlantic's Larry Weiss and Luis A. Villa for making Mariano’s appearance possible.

It was a great day for print embellishment—and an even greater day for supporting America’s youth.
