Ken's latest video explaining how busy we have been.

🖥️ A Quick Update 📝

We’re still experiencing an extremely high volume of repairs and service requests following last week’s storms, along with the usual back-to-school rush after Labor Day.

We are working hard to get through every device as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Due to the current workload, you can still expect that it may take at least a few business days before you hear from us with an update on your repair or service.

Just a reminder: if you drop off your device right before the weekend, such as on a Friday, the next business day is Monday, as we are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. We just ask that you keep our weekend hours in mind when waiting for an update.

We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work through the increased volume. We haven’t forgotten about you or your device, and we’ll be in touch as soon as we have an update.

Thank you for choosing Computer Works Pro and for keeping us busy! 💻🪛

Hey there, everyone calling into us! I know it’s late, but I just wanted to post this real quick: If you leave us a voicemail, we aim to call you back within an hour—if it’s after 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, after 4 p.m. on Friday, or if a holiday falls, we’ll get back by noon the following business day! If you don’t hear from us within an hour, feel free to call again. Even if it adds a few extra calls, we want to ensure we connect with everyone reaching out to us!

Hey everyone! We’ve been busier than usual this week, especially with the holiday on Monday, school starting back up, and the recent storm. That’s led to a pretty big uptick in folks coming in with computer issues. So, things are taking a little longer than usual. After drop off, you can still expect to hear from us within a few business days, but we do ask for your patience. On top of that, Korey has been selected for possible jury duty next week, so we may be extra busy and a little short-handed. We really appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and continued support. Thank you so much for choosing us.

Anthropic has warned some Claude users that criminals are using information stealers to take over their accounts.

Rather than guessing passwords or intercepting two-factor authentication (2FA) codes, the attackers steal the browser sessions that prove a user is already logged in.

According to a warning email shared publicly by an affected user, the attackers used common infostealer malware to copy Claude login sessions from victims’ computers. They then used those sessions to access the accounts and consume their usage.

Anthropic has warned that infostealers are stealing Claude session cookies to access users’ accounts and consume usage at their expense.

Microsoft’s leaked Aion prototype is not a Windows replacement (aka not Windows 12), but a 2024 experiment in AI-first desktop design.

Project Aion is a 2024 Microsoft internal prototype, not a shipping product or Windows replacement.

It explores an AI-first desktop interface centered on Copilot, using web apps instead of traditional Windows apps.

The system reportedly runs on top of Windows 11, acting more like a shell than a full operating system.

It relies on Windows 365 Cloud PCs for legacy apps, suggesting a cloud-augmented desktop concept.

The project reflects Microsoft’s experimental work on agent-driven computing, not a confirmed roadmap for Windows 11 or future releases.

Microsoft’s Project Aion leak reveals an experimental Copilot desktop from 2024, but it’s not a Windows replacement or product roadmap.

As spring is now in full swing, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to all of our valued customers, whether you’re a new, returning, or simply inquiring about our services and/or recycling e-waste materials. Your support and continued patronage are greatly appreciated.

We’d also like to mention that have noticed an increase in business this week and wanted to kindly remind everyone that our standard turnaround time remains to be within a few business days from drop off. We can’t not guarantee diagnostic and/or repairs will be done sooner than that. However, we strive to diagnose and repair issues promptly and we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in this regard.

Lastly, a huge thank you to everyone who’s left us reviews. Your feedback is why we’ve been able to earn our rating and continue to grow — we couldn’t do it without you.
