El Dorado CB Shop

El Dorado CB Shop We are a sales and repair shop of most major brands of radios and carry a full assortment of antennas and accessories. Sorry, no installation at this time.
(1)

We no longer do mobile installations or repair base radios at this time. Plenty of truck parking and room to swing around. We do not repair vintage radios nor base stations. Drop off or mail in radio repairs are done in between walk-in customers so thank you for your patience. They are done FIFO. Drop off and mail in customers will be contacted the same day repairs are completed. All major credit cards, pay pal and cash app payments are accepted but cash is still king. Thank you for your patronage.

Hydration & Nutrition Gallon Water Jugs: Carry multiple gallons of water in the cab for pre-trips, loading, and unexpected breakdown delays. Electrolyte Packets: Mix into water to replenish minerals lost from heavy sweating during physical tasks. High-Quality Cooler: Use a well-insulated cooler to preserve fresh food, cold drinks, and ice packs. Light Snacks: Stock fruits, nuts, and protein bars instead of heavy meals that increase sluggishness. Cab Temperature Control Windshield Sunshades: Deploy massive reflective shades immediately when parked to keep the interior from turning into an oven. 12V Portable Fan: Circulate air into the sleeper berth or toward the driver's seat when the truck is idling.Thermal Curtains: Hang thick curtains or moving blankets behind the front seats to seal off and efficiently cool a smaller space.Personal Cooling GearEvaporative Cooling Towels: Soak in cold water and drape around your neck during loading or outdoor vehicle inspections. Moisture-Wicking Apparel: Wear lightweight, light-colored, and breathable clothing rather than heavy cotton.Cooling Seat Cushion: Upgrade to a breathable mesh or gel-infused cushion to prevent trapped heat against the seat. Body Wipes: Use heavy-duty wet wipes to clean off sweat and grime when shower stops are far apart.Sun & Emergency Protection High-SPF Sunscreen: Apply daily to protect your skin from intense UV rays passing directly through the driver-side window. Polarized Sunglasses: Reduce extreme highway glare and minimize eye strain over long driving hours. Sun Sleeves: Wear UV-blocking sleeves on your arms to prevent the severe left-arm "trucker burn". Instant Cold Packs: Keep these in your first-aid kit for rapid cooling if you experience signs of heat exhaustion. Make sure your CB radio is in good operating order just in case you get in to an area with no cell coverage and need help.

***They are in but limited supply***Check this “Old School” look in this new Super Star SS-99VHP. So many people loved the Galaxy DX-99V that is no more but look what Ranger has come up with and I like it. Looks the same but this one packs a punch. Has a built in amp on the bottom that I understand to be similar to the same power as the Galaxy DX98VHP. Also you can change the background colors and I personally like the orange in this pic. $650 so put you name in the running, should be in next week. Note: This is an Ai rendering so a lot of the words and features is not correct on the faceplate, as soon as we get them in we can post an actual photo.

Lately a lot of customers are coming in with questions about their Cobra 29. The question or rather complaint is they are saying no one can understand them on their Cb but they can hear the other people somewhat or kinda clear. They are wondering what is wrong with their radio. 8/10 times they have had their Cobra 29 on the FM mode and didn’t know it. Thing is, regular CB mode is on the AM mode for talking like Ch.19, 4 etc. On these newer Cobra 29, the Channel Selector is a button as well, and this button when pushed, selects which mode you want to be in, AM or FM. Most people do not know their newer Cobra has this feature. If there is a little LED light on inside your Channel Display next to the words FM on the faceplate, you are in the FM mode and so you need to push the Ch selector in to change it back to AM. After that the little LED light inside the Ch display area should be off. This accidental mode change can happen very easy, especially if you are changing channels on a bumpy road.

Try that if you have this newer Cobra 29 and are having this issue. Might save you from stopping at a CB Shop and possibly some money “if it’s other than mine.”lol.

Take care,

Jason

Veronica came in asking if she could sell some stuff for us on commission bases only so I started her out yesterday. Dang we ran over $5000, can’t wait to see what she can sell today. I just don’t get it, she knows nothing about cb’s or amplifiers.
