Passwords have become a part of our lives. I know some people who keep an excel document with all their usernames and passwords, NOT recommended. Out of the top 25 passwords from a recent survey majority of them contained the numbers 1-9 or the super secret password "password". All passwords should contain UPPERCASE, lowercase, a number, and a special character. I was at an event the other day and the WiFi router had a password on it. Guess what. Someone in the crowd guessed it, changed it, and then the performers could not use their WiFi sound equipment because they were locked out of their router. Make sure your home router password and WiFi password is complex. If you need help setting this up, contact us and we can assist.

Here's what to do (immediately) if your computer has been hacked:

# Run a full virus scan to detect the malware and viruses infecting your computer
# Review the applications installed on your device. If any developer or vendor doesn't seem legitimate, uninstall the app right away.
# Change the passwords for your online accounts.

The above is not the only signs AND the above is not 100% proof, they are just some sings a device has been hacked.

I have seen the inside of many computers. Many people complain about their computer not running right, just doing odd things. When I get a computer one of the first things I check is the status of the manufacturers warranty. The second thing is how dirty is the INSIDE of the computer. Yes the inside. This is not reflection on your "house keeping". All computers will get dirty on the inside. Some of the symptoms include a noise from the fan, computer temperature is running hotter than normal, general system instability, etc. If you are experiencing this, then call, text, pm, etc. WE CAN HELP.

Here are two basic questions I like to ask people.
1. Do you have anti-virus?
What I find: When I look it is installed, but about two years out of date and they have a virus.
2. If your computer crashed, could you live without your files?
What I find: No backups. Tax returns, kids / grandkids pictures, it all could be lost.
