For 15 years, Lori has been lovingly known as the “Mother Hen” of our Tax Department. And if you’ve ever worked with her, you understand exactly why.
She has been one of those rare people who seems to know everything: our clients, our processes, the little details others might overlook, and all the history behind why we do things the way we do.
As business advisors, we talk often about documenting processes, sharing knowledge and building teams that don’t depend too heavily on any one person.
And then someone like Lori comes along.
Because some people simply have it in their DNA to become the person everyone trusts and turns to.
Through her diligence, care, attention to detail, and remarkable institutional knowledge, Lori became a steady presence and a true cornerstone of our team.
We’ve spent a lot of time preparing for her retirement and making sure the knowledge she’s accumulated over 15 years is shared with the people who will carry the work forward.
But there are some things you can’t document in a process manual.
The relationships. The intuition. The countless small ways someone makes a team better just by being part of it.
Those are Lori’s to take with her, because she helped build them.
Lori, thank you for 15 years of dedication, care, and everything you’ve given to our clients and our team. We’ll miss our Mother Hen, but we couldn’t be happier to see you begin this next chapter.
Congratulations on a very well-earned retirement.
