When defaults fail, entire systems crack. This week, Microsoft stands accused of leaving the door wide open to ransomware through insecure settings, while Germany raises the bar with a new law demanding resilience from its most vital industries. Together, these stories signal a turning point: critical infrastructure security is no longer a choice—it’s an expectation, enforced by oversight, legislation, and public trust.

Introduction This week brought two major developments for critical infrastructure leaders. In the U.

Leadership Spotlight: Carlo Tortora Brayda, CEO and Founder of Cyber Eagle

At Cyber Eagle, we are not simply building a cybersecurity platform. We are constructing a digital shield for national infrastructure, grounded in agentic AI, operational sovereignty, and a trusted ecosystem. Leading this mission is our Founder and CEO, Carlo Tortora Brayda.

Carlo began his professional journey as an AI engineer at Philips Electronics, where he developed expert systems for fault diagnosis long before artificial intelligence was widely recognized. He later founded Gorilla Corporation, a SaaS-driven global partner development firm responsible for over ten billion dollars in client revenue across technology giants including IBM, Cisco, VMware, and Symantec.

His mission, however, has always extended beyond commercial success. As Founder of the Tortora Brayda Institute for AI and Cybersecurity and Co-Founder of the National AI and Cybersecurity ISAO, Carlo has worked at the intersection of diplomacy, ethics, and critical infrastructure. He has contributed to the G20 Global Risk Assessment, the World Economic Forum and served as a judge for the United Nations AI for Good Innovation Factory, and advised heads of state on private-sector development.

In 2022, Carlo launched the Cyber Eagle Project—a global public-private initiative focused on strengthening the cyber resilience of over one million critical infrastructure operators across the NATO and allied landscape. The platform integrates polymorphic AI agents, a digital-twin-powered Command Nexus, and a curated marketplace of more than four thousand security vendors. Its architecture is designed to protect industrial systems, logistics corridors, and national utilities in real time.

While some platforms such as Palantir are designed for elite defense intelligence, Cyber Eagle was built to democratize agentic AI defense for the mid-market—while also advancing classified, sovereign-grade technologies through Eagle X Labs.

Carlo has received recognitions including Fellow of the British Computer Society, Freeman of the City of London, and multiple awards from Governments, Forbes, and Shell Petroleum. His lifelong focus remains aligned to national resilience, AI ethics, and public-private innovation.

Across everything he has led, from humanitarian trade policy to AI-driven cyber platforms, his mission remains consistent: to ensure technology serves the continuity, dignity, and defense of sovereign nations.

Cyber Eagle Signs Strategic MoU with Vatican Cyber Volunteers to Fortify the Holy See’s Digital Defenses

We are proud to announce a historic collaboration between Cyber Eagle Project Inc. and Vatican Cyber Volunteers (VCV)—a partnership rooted in trust, ethics, and innovation.

Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, this alliance will pave the way for the creation of the Vatican’s first Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), elevate its digital sovereignty, and reinforce its role as a global leader in cyber diplomacy and AI ethics.

Often referred to as a “digital Swiss Guard,” VCV represents a unique force of elite cybersecurity professionals safeguarding the digital integrity of the Holy See. Their values of service, privacy, and global stewardship align seamlessly with Cyber Eagle’s mission to build ethical, AI-powered cybersecurity for sovereign institutions.

Through this alliance, VCV defenders will gain privileged access to the Cyber Eagle Command Nexus™, our agentic AI-driven platform built to secure critical infrastructure. The integration of Cyber Intelligence House's restricted-source and dark web intelligence streams will further enhance Vatican situational awareness and operational resilience.

We thank Joe Shenouda, founder and spokesperson of Vatican Cyber Volunteers, for his leadership, and extend deep appreciation to our partners at Cyber Intelligence House for their trust and strategic contributions. In particular Mikko Niemelä for his leadership and setting the highest bar in threat intelligence.

As digital threats grow more advanced, we believe that the Vatican’s moral voice must be protected with the same strength as its physical assets. This partnership embodies a new era of proactive defense, cyber peacebuilding, and global ethical leadership.

What Palantir was to counterterrorism, Cyber Eagle is to critical infrastructure.
But with one vital distinction: we are platform-native, not services-first. We’re building the operating system for national cyber resilience—a full-stack AI environment for cyber defense, vendor orchestration, risk quantification, and funding optimization.
And the market needs it. Now.
Cyber Eagle is engineered to meet this moment. At its core is a belief that cybersecurity must be rearchitected—not as a static compliance burden, but as a dynamic infrastructure layer for sovereign digital defense.
