Our Proxy team had the privilege to attend Breakaway Camp: Malibu (Dec 3–7, 2025)-an unforgettable experience that combines UCI World Tour-style support, high-performance cycling, and a full curriculum that includes nutrition, fueling, and recovery; all while raising awareness and support for Best Buddies.
 
Best Buddies is dedicated to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)-from friendships and jobs to leadership development and inclusive living.
 
As we kick off 2026, we’re especially grateful for communities like this and inspired to start the new year with inclusion at the center of what we build. Spending time with this community was a powerful reminder that the future we build in food and health must be inclusive by design.
 
Coming out of Malibu, we’re excited to partner with Best Buddies and contribute where we can create real impact. With ’ AI formulation platform we can efficiently approach both ends of the performance spectrum:
 
Personalized nutrition programs to support individuals with disabilities and those managing obesity with dignity, consistency, and measurable outcomes.
 
Elite fueling and recovery frameworks modeled on the discipline and best practices we see in Olympic-and Tour de France–level performance environments-adapted to be accessible and actionable.
 
We’re deeply grateful to and the amazing Best Buddies team for welcoming us and for the inspiring work they do every day to advance inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As the year comes to a close, we want to say thank you to everyone - our partners, customers, collaborators, and the wider food community - for the work you do every day.

We’re energized for 2026 as we continue advancing Proxy Foods’ AI recipe formulation platform, helping food teams turn data into practical formulation decisions and better outcomes.

And we’ll keep pushing forward for a food system that’s better for people, animals, and the planet, with responsibility and impact at the core of what we build.

What an incredible time we had at in Rotterdam, which took place on 23–24 September 2025!

The energy, the ideas, the people - everything about this event reminded us why we love being part of this industry.

From thought-provoking conversations to new collaborations and a LOT of delicious food inspiration, we left Rotterdam energized and ready for what’s next!

We’re grateful to Petros Mandalis and Panos Kostopoulos, our CTO and CEO respectively, for representing Proxy Foods - and a special thanks to Taylor Padfield and Briony Mansell-Lewis from the Food Matters Live team for the wonderful support and hospitality.

Earlier this year, Proxy Foods was selected as one of the winners of Tyson Ventures’ Annual Demo Day and became a resident startup.

Honoured to present our platform at Future Food-Tech Chicago alongside innovators shaping a healthier, more sustainable food system.

One message rang out: relentless product innovation and reformulation are mission-critical in a market defined by inflation, geopolitical shifts, evolving consumer needs, tariffs, and new regulation.

Conversations ranged from GLP-1 nutrition and next-gen proteins to clean-label reformulation, alternative grains, data, AI and digital transformation.
 
Thank you, Future Food-Tech and everyone who joined us to exchange ideas, and the old and new friends that we saw.

☀️Can you believe we’re already two weeks into summer? Maybe it slipped past us, given how full our spring was, thanks also to the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and their exceptional events! 🎉
 
After the invigorating NPSI event in Baltimore platforming the brightest young culinary talents from each state, we headed straight to Chicago for the largest foodservice expo, the iconic NRA Show 🍽️🏙️.

Once again, the NRA gathered the entire industry to showcase the brilliant and innovative products shaping the future of what we all eat and drink. Thanks to the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) ‘s Team, we also had the opportunity to present our platform to the top culinary personnel of the US Military 🎖️ to demonstrate our platform and how AI is being used in the food industry.

We are extremely appreciative of Mary Kate Thayer, Allison Rhyne, Kofi Acquaah, Heather M., Derek Small, Ashley Sorensen, Alyssa Prince, and the entire NRA team for their hospitality (who else could do hospitality better)! 🙏
 
Simultaneously, Chicago buzzed with excitement around another prestigious occasion, the Education Foundation of IFMA The Food Away from Home Association ’s annual Gold & Silver Plate Awards,🏅 fondly known as the «Foodservice Oscars.» Huge congratulations to IFMA and Phil Kafarakis for orchestrating such a memorable evening. Special applause 👏 to this year’s distinguished winner, industry veteran Kevin Hochman, whose win garnered many «well-deserved!» remarks at every table.
