The Unifier Family received the news of the passing of our esteemed National Chairman, Honourable Minkailu
Mansaray, with a profound sense of sorrow and loss.
Honourable Minkailu Mansaray was not merely a leader; he was a was a pillar of strength, a statesman of rare vision,
an anchor and an irreplaceable servant to the All People’s Congress (APC) and the people of Sierra Leone. His fidelity
to the core ideals upon which our party was built never wavered. Today, we mourn a man whose life's work will
serve as an enduring blueprint for future generations.
Throughout his distinguished tenure, Chairman Mansaray modeled leadership defined by absolute integrity and an
unyielding commitment to public welfare. He commanded respect not through the mere assertion of authority, but
through a rare combination of wisdom, deep compassion, and a genuine desire to see our party evolve and thrive.
To his immediate family: We offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. We share in your immense grief and
stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you during this dark hour. We pray that you find comfort in knowing that his impact
reached across communities, touched countless lives, and built a legacy that time cannot diminish.
To the general membership of the APC: We weep collectively, but let us not despair. Instead, let us honor his
memory by rededicating ourselves to the grand vision he championed and the unifying values he lived by every day.
Sierra Leone has lost a true patriot. The finest monument we can build in his honor is the actualization of his lifelong
dream: a deeply unified country and a robust, inclusive democracy.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Why is Barack Obama so disliked in the US?

Many, many, MANY commentors have said, correctly, that Obama’s African-American and that alone is enough reason for many people to hate him.

However, I also want to note that he’s also very much an intellectual, and American culture has historically been strongly anti-intellectual. From the very beginning, American society has traditionally valued individualism and the “common man” over expert consensus, and so academic credentials aren’t as respected here as in most cultures—frankly, they’re often viewed with suspicion and even contempt.

Moreover, at a lot of the universities that we do have, the public cares way more about their sports programs than their academics. (The president of Ohio State University once remarked that he worked for the football coach instead of the other way around. He was joking, but only half joking.) So while Obama’s race is certainly a big factor, his being an intellectual in an anti-intellectual culture also played a big role in my judgment.
