As a carrier owned business, we listen to fellow carriers and use their suggestions to help design our stationery. As a 19 year carrier who spent the last 11 years on a walk-out route and now is about to experience his first summer on a new route that is half mounted, I gotta say, this little suggestion right here is a game changer. What other tips and tricks do y’all have for beating the heat in these tin cans?

Our very own Victoria Smyth helped organize this year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive in her daughter’s school! The students collected donations through their school’s own Post Office Club. Thank you to all the kids and families of Pine Tree Elementary in Monroe, NY, for organizing and collecting food to support their local food banks!

Here she is!! The beautiful new-to-us machine that SO MANY of you helped make possible is almost up and running. Fern learned how to make the Mail Sub Exception tags on it, and the next step is cutting them. We have to get the technician back out to do some network stuff and a few machine adjustments, then we will show you how we make our postcards.

Digital illustrations start the same way pen and paper drawings begin; a lot of guesswork and a million adjustments. These little leaf hearts took forever. You can see how I kept tackling them and avoiding them when I got frustrated, but I think they turned out cute! -Fern
