Most healthcare websites are built to look clinical. Horizon Pharmacy needed something more: a platform that could speak to two very different audiences at once.
Horizon Pharmacy serves long-term care and behavioral health facilities across a growing network, while also supporting patients, caregivers, and staff through a unique social enterprise model that reinvests profits into underserved communities. Their old site didn't reflect any of that. Outdated tech, generic messaging, and no clear path for facility decision-makers or patients to find what they needed.
We redesigned the experience around two audiences - dedicated pathways for healthcare providers evaluating a partnership, and a separate, streamlined path for patients handling prescription transfers, pharmacist questions, and bill pay. A custom illustration style, color-coded navigation, and a testimonial-driven trust strategy tie it all together, while a fully custom WordPress build gives Horizon Pharmacy's team the ability to manage content independently going forward.
The result: a platform that finally matches Horizon's scale — 10,700+ clients served, 140,000+ prescriptions filled annually, and 1,500+ individuals supported each year through their profit redistribution model.
See how audience-driven UX turned a static website into a real business tool.
