Iphone 12 and Iphone 13 built to force customers to go to Apple for repairs. Many components are paired to the phone to create problems when repairing. A screen and battery replacement on the 12 and 13 will force messages on your screen concerning use of Non Apple parts. You will also loose battery health information and True Tone. On the 13, a screen replacement forces loss of Face ID. You paid almost $1000 for your phone but Apple wants to own your phone. Right to Repair legislation has been in front of Mass Legislatures for four years and no action. The lobbyists and Apple are in control. Buy Samsung and you wont have these problems.

Water Damage - If your phone falls in water, the most important thing you can do is turn it off and get it to a phone repair store to have it opened up and dried out. Rice is not a good drying solution. Buy silica gel packs and put the phone in a bag of silica gell packs for at least 3 days. For best results, the phone should be opened.

Summer Hours - typically 10 - 6, Monday - Friday, Saturdays 10 -3. I will not be taking a week off this summer, but will take off days during the week. I will post my weekly schedule, which will change week to week.

I just bought a full inventory of every screw used in an iphone. If your phone is missing screws, we can replace them. There are many reasons why your phone can be missing a screw. Sometimes screws just become loose. Sometimes your previous repair resulted in the technician missing a screw, loosing a screw or not tightening the screws properly. If I notice missing screws I will replace them at no charge. This is a new service offered by Iphone Repair of Walpole.

Drop Off Service available during the shutdown. If you call in advance, I can schedule your repair for an accurate delivery time. Most repairs on Iphones can be finished in an hour.

This is our fifth year of business repairing phones. Chris Baker of Mobile Device Medics is located on Main Street in Hyannis. Chris has been in business for eight years. Prior to opening my own business I interned with Chris.

Repairing the Iphone 8 Back Glass
The repair of the back glass on the iphone 8 is no daunting task. Using very high heat the glass has to be chipped off the back. The procedure takes hours and is not worth doing. When using high heat, care must be taken not to damage the mother board or the battery. Best approach is to buy a frame and transfer the guts of the phone to the new frame.
