An up-close and personal look at our details from the hurricanes 2026 Stanley Cup Ring Ceremony 👇🏻
Leading into the event, guests were greeted with the red carpet backdrop. We wanted everyone arriving to immediately feel like they were walking into a really special night. We created the repeating Stanley Cup + Hurricanes logo pattern to be used as the first celebratory photo moment before entering the Pavilion.
Once inside, the rings and trophies were really the focal point, and we wanted the tabletop pieces to continue that experience in a more personal way.
For the menus, we actually traced the silhouette of the Stanley Cup from a photograph to create a custom die-cut shape. They were oversized at 6x9 and printed on a beautiful metallic coated stock. The front commemorated the Stanley Cup Ring Ceremony, almost like a keepsake, and the reverse held the dinner menu for the evening.
The place cards were another fun custom detail. We used the Hurricanes logo and designed the name portion at the bottom to subtly reference the shape of a hockey stick. We chose clear acrylic stands so nothing distracted from the piece itself — and because I thought the players might actually want to take their place cards home.
One of my favorite production details was the printing. Because we were printing on metallic stock, we printed white underneath the artwork first and then printed the color over it. That allowed the Hurricanes colors and whites to stay crisp and true rather than being altered by the silver underneath.
For the table numbers, we used one of their alternate hockey-stick logos to bring in another piece of the Hurricanes brand without feeling repetitive. The players and their wives/significant others were seated at the two center tables, so rather than numbers, those tables were designated Black and Red — another nod to the team colors and jerseys.
For the official ring portraits, we really wanted the players and the rings to be the stars, so we kept the backdrop intentionally simple — black with “Stanley Cup Champions 2026” — to give context without competing with the portraits.
