Dr. Corren McCoy was celebrated with words of appreciation and presented with her milestone trophy by Bob Alpigini, Chief of Strategic Initiatives. Dr. McCoy was specifically recognized for her leadership, mentorship, and her pivotal role in building G2 Ops' cyber risk assessment tool, SOFIA. Mac Pugliese was honored for his five years of expertise across engineering disciplines and his collaborative nature before receiving his milestone trophy from Kylee Cope, Principal Systems Engineer. Reflecting on her own milestone, Stephanie Bahr highlighted her growth as a cybersecurity professional and leader, crediting a corporate culture that “empowers employees to take on new challenges while providing the support needed to succeed.”

The future fight demands software updates that can reach any platform, anywhere – even beneath the ocean's surface.

At Warhacker, the G2 Ops team developed a prototype that delivers trusted software in environments with severely constrained, intermittent, and degraded connectivity – such as a deeply submerged submarine. The capability helps ensure that software can reach a given platform, be trusted when it arrives, and support the mission despite undersea communications constraints.

The team's approach has applications across submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), undersea sensors and remote nodes, as well as surface platforms. With a clear path toward operational transition and sustained use, we're excited to continue pursuing this solution.

It was a great experience participating in Warhacker alongside outstanding innovators! Thank you to Defense Unicorns for hosting a phenomenal event with real-world impact for the warfighter – we can't wait until the next one!

G2 Ops recently joined industry and government leaders in Reston, Virginia, for an Industry Engagement Day, hosted by the Naval Submarine League, the Defense Industrial Base Institute at Northeastern University, and the Director of Submarine Programs.

The day was full of meaningful conversations on readiness, production capacity, and the investments needed to support our increasingly complex national security programs.

We appreciated the opportunity to engage in conversations focused on strengthening the future of maritime dominance.

G2 Ops engineers recently participated in CUSA 2026 in Reno, where Model-Based Systems Engineering was front and center.

Our team joined workshops, attended technical sessions, and presented their expertise on MBSE-driven cyber accreditation and reference architecture for evolving systems.

CUSA 2026 reinforced what we see every day: G2 Ops is on the leading edge of mission-focused digital engineering.

The 2026 AFCEA Maritime Operations & Information Warfare Summit was one for the books!

Thank you to AFCEA Hampton Roads for hosting an outstanding event focused on advancing the future of the maritime battlespace. It's impactful when leaders and innovators across the defense industrial base can engage directly with Fleet operators, connecting emerging capabilities with the operational needs of today and tomorrow.

Highlights from the week included Dr. Corren McCoy’s Innovation Showcase presentation on model-based approaches to Cyber Ready acquisition and continuous authorization, as well as Chief Business Officer Kevin Esser joining industry leaders for the panel discussion, “How to Be a Successful Small Business in Today’s GovCon Environment.”
