Shane Madsen's '98 Civic EK hatch combines a forged B-series engine, Garrett 62mm turbocharger, and VP110 fuel to produce an impressive 488 WHP and 329 lb-ft of torque. Supporting the combination is a Hondata S300-equipped ECU built by The ECU Guy, featuring electronic boost control and custom replacement IC upgrades. Support by Herse-Tuning.TM. A SnakeTuning Inc Mini Dizzy and custom harness package help modernize the ignition system, while Manley rods, Wiseco pistons, and a Supertech valvetrain provide the strength needed to handle nearly 500 wheel horsepower. Fresh off the dyno, this EK proves that a well-sorted B-series setup can still deliver big results.
