On September 8, REDCOM was proud to host Rochester Rotary on the Road.

About 25 Rotarians spent the afternoon learning more about REDCOM through a company and product overview, a live demonstration, and a tour of our manufacturing facility.
Rochester Rotary also presented our CEO, Dinah, with a book to sign for their partnership with School #8 and maple syrup from Rotary Sunshine Camp in Rush.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We appreciated the great questions, conversation, and opportunity to share more about REDCOM with members of our local community.

On September 11, 2001, New York witnessed the largest maritime evacuation in history, but many people have never heard of it.

When Lower Manhattan was cut off and hundreds of thousands of people were stranded at the water's edge, the Coast Guard put out a call for anyone with a boat. Ferries, tugboats, fishing vessels, private craft, you name it. Ordinary people dropped everything and turned their bows toward the smoke.

In under 9 hours, they carried roughly 500,000 people to safety. For perspective, the evacuation at Dunkirk moved 338,000 over nine days.

Today, we remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders who answered the call, and reflect on the service and sacrifice of all those affected in the years that followed.
