A little perspective on AI - thoughts from a brand designer 🤍

I use AI. And honestly? It’s become an incredibly useful tool within my business. It helps me work more efficiently, explore ideas, organize my thoughts and create imagery or mockups that I may not otherwise have access to.

When you hire a designer, you’re not just hiring someone who knows how to operate design software. You’re investing in their experience, strategy, creative judgment and ability to take everything they’ve learned about your business and turn it into something meaningful.

Bring inspiration. Bring references. Bring AI explorations if they help communicate what’s in your head, but leave room for your designer to interpret them, challenge them and create something better because of them.

AI can be an incredible tool.

A little peek into my life + studio lately 🤎

I’ve been a little MIA on here lately, but behind the scenes life and the studio have been anything but.

Lots of beautiful brands have been in the works, illustrating, content creation, many hours at my desk, and of course, plenty of coffee! I’ve also been trying to be present and soak up as much family time, mountain air and these first signs of fall as much as I can.

It’s been a very busy season of work and life, and one I’m feeling incredibly grateful for.

Excited to finally start sharing more of what I’ve been creating behind the scenes. ✨

The approved moodboard for a brand currently in the works 🤎

Moodboards are such an important part of my branding process, setting the tone and creating a clear visual foundation for every design decision that follows.

For this brand, that meant bringing together South African heritage, craftsmanship and a sense of the land with a refined, modern approach.

This project feels especially meaningful to me. With it rooted in South African heritage, it’s been such a special opportunity to draw inspiration from a place so close to my own heart and roots. 🇿🇦

So excited to be a small part of this brand’s journey and to share more as it comes to life. 🤍

Still swooning over this brand and website project 🤍

Rachel came to me looking for more than just a new logo. She wanted a brand experience that reflected the care, craftsmanship and intention behind every piece she creates.

Together we created a visual identity that feels timeless, refined and quietly luxurious, before bringing it to life through a custom Shopify website and cohesive brand experience.

Looking back on this project reminds me why I love what I do - helping thoughtful businesses create brands that feel as meaningful as the work behind them. ✨
