It turns out that Trump simply stating “we have a deal” doesn’t magically make that happen, because luckily the rest of the world, like their closest ally and trade partner Canada, doesn’t have to bend to his geriatric will.

Given the announcement that the illegally imposed and ludicrous 50% tariffs on Canadian goods is officially now on for US residents and businesses, Supercool will no longer be able to ship to our American customers for the foreseeable future. We hope this can change soon, so if you are in the US, we recommend shopping for Supercool at any of our awesome dealers and retailers, online and in store, and you can check our retailers list on our website to find one near you.

New stickers! I’ve updated the Thneed stickers to the “Bauhaus” logo and they should start making their way into boxes along with the usual box candy in some future batches. The new “sparkle” stickers are the result of a weeklong hyper fixation design hole (will share the dozens of iterations for fun later), and will be the new swag sticker passed out at events!

I delayed it as long as I could, but two days ahead of the illegal tariffs set to take place on August 19th, at the demands of a geriatric egomaniacal pe*****le, I am ceasing all shipping to the US.

As a Canadian business, I very much rely on the reciprocal support of my American friends and customers, and enabled by the free trade of USMCA that was established and enforced by past competent governments. With the new blanket tariffs set to take place in a couple days, who knows what will happen. It seems if they do in fact happen, I likely will not be able to find a loophole or legal system to ship products to the US without charging my customers a 50% tariff, which would obviously halt sales and commerce entirely. USMCA has been a life raft on a sinking ship, and that raft is now deflating.

The good news is there are plenty of amazing US dealers in the states that you can support and buy Supercool pedals from. Most of them have decent stock but when that runs out, well, the future is uncertain for getting more to them.

I will provide updates, if any, as they develop. In the meantime, I will be focusing my attention on my non-American markets, R&D, and other projects, hoping for an end to this orange-tinged oligarchical nightmare.
