A good article to review. Beware of malicious apps that can highjack social media accounts. Always verify who is asking you to sign in and why before doing so as it can save you lots of time and headache. If an app is offering you something for "free" there is usually someone behind the request trying to get something from you.

Have you asked yourself, why have I been getting alerts about Adobe Flash Player?

Well, if you already didn't know, Adobe Flash has reached end of life (EOL) and Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after December 31, 2020.

From the vendors site, they advise that "Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021", and further states that "Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems."

If you already haven't planned on or knew about the need to remove Adobe Flash player, directly from the vendor, it is strongly recommended to do so.

During the holiday season, take extra time to make sure you are going to the site you intend to. Don't follow links in unsolicited emails you receive. Take the time to read the URL link to make sure you have not been redirected elsewhere when you are trying to go to a site you want to. The URL is at the top of the browser (hit F6 to highlight it when clicked on the browser "Chrome / Firefox / Edge" if you don't know what that means. Make sure you have a current subscription for end point software (antivirus ) that is turned on and up to date. Always remember that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

It's the giving season, and cybercriminals are more actively looking to steal gift cards. One of the most popular brands in their sight is giant retailer Target.
