π₯ Extreme Heat Alert β Stay Safe This Week π₯
Western regions are facing extreme heat conditions this week, and itβs critical that we all take extra precautions β both on the job site and during personal time.
At RBC, your safety and well-being come first. Please take a moment to review these important reminders:
π οΈ On the Job Site
β
Hydrate often β Drink water every 15β20 minutes, even if you donβt feel thirsty
β
Take regular breaks in shaded or cooled areas
β
Wear appropriate PPE β light-colored, breathable clothing when possible
β
Watch for signs of heat stress: dizziness, nausea, heavy sweating, confusion
β
Look out for one another β buddy checks can save lives
β
Adjust work schedules if possible to avoid peak afternoon heat
βοΈ During Your Personal Time
β
Limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day (usually 12β5 PM)
β
Stay in air-conditioned environments when you can
β
Never leave children or pets in vehicles
β
Stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes
β
Check in on family members, neighbors, and those more vulnerable to heat
π¨ Know when to act:
If someone shows signs of heat stroke (confusion, fainting, high body temperature), call for emergency help immediately.
Letβs work together to ensure everyone gets through this heat wave safely.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay aware.
