Although the clock is ticking down to Black Friday, there is still time to optimize your e-commerce sales plan for the entire year.
The 2021 US holiday shopping season brought in more than $1.2 trillion, representing a growth rate of 16.1% year over year, making it the strongest retail growth in more than 20 years (YoY).
According to EMarketer, Black Friday sales, which generated about $9 billion, were the next-largest online spending day after Cyber Monday, which saw a 1.1% increase to $10.9 billion.
Given that consumers spent nearly $20 billion on Black Friday and Cyber Monday last year, online retailers should prioritize building buzz and increase sales during these lucrative shopping occasions.
