City of Vallejo Names Lance David to Lead Information Technology Department
The City of Vallejo is pleased to announce the appointment of Lance David as Director of the Information Technology Department. David has served as Interim Director since August 2025, providing steady leadership during a period of significant technological advancement for the City.
David brings more than three decades of experience in information technology across both public and private sectors, including over 11 years of dedicated service to the City of Vallejo. His extensive background includes leading major modernization efforts in public safety communications, cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, and critical systems that support day-to-day City operations.
Throughout his tenure, David has distinguished himself as a strategic, solutions driven leader. He has guided complex technology initiatives, enhanced cybersecurity protections, strengthened service delivery, and implemented reliable, sustainable technology solutions that benefit both City staff and the community. He attributes much of the department’s success to the highly skilled Information Technology team, whose professionalism, collaboration, and commitment to public service continue to drive meaningful results.
A lifelong Vallejo resident, David is deeply committed to serving the community he calls home. He views his role in public service as both a professional responsibility and a personal dedication to improving the lives of Vallejo residents.
