This week our local newspaper included an article that covers our company. The article uses multiple statements made by a former Merkle Standard employee, Steve Wood. Mr. Wood has no affiliation or on-going relationship with Merkle Standard and has not been an employee for more than 1.5 years. His statements do not represent Merkle Standard, our current operations, or future plans. Unfortunately, Mr. Wood was the source used for much of the article and resulted in some inaccuracies.

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You to Merkle Standard! 🌟

The Pend Oreille Playhouse Awards are all about celebrating the incredible volunteers, performers, directors, musicians, technicians, and community members who make local theatre possible. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without the generosity of businesses that believe in giving back.

We are incredibly grateful to Merkle Standard for their generous sponsorship of this year's Pend Oreille Playhouse Awards! Their support helps us honor the people who pour their hearts into creating opportunities for the arts right here in our community.

When local businesses invest in local nonprofits, they're investing in creativity, education, youth, families, and the future of Pend Oreille County. We are truly thankful for Merkle Standard's commitment to strengthening our community and helping us celebrate those who make the Playhouse such a special place.

Please join us in thanking Merkle Standard for their generosity and continued support of community organizations like ours. 💙

Together, we're building something truly special.

We've been quiet lately, but that is only because we have been keeping so busy. Wondering with what?? A quick highlight of some of the things we’ve had going on:
• In the first half of April, we donated a load of shop supplies and welding materials to the Selkirk High School vocational education programs. We always want to help provide for the future workforce.
• At the end of April, we participated in mock interviews at Newport High School. Such a great learning experience for the students and for us!
• In May we committed to being a return sponsor of the Newport and Pend Oreille County Rodeos. We are proud to be a multi-year return sponsor of both events!
• Earlier this week we hosted training for the Bomb Squad at our Usk facility. We appreciate all of our first responders and are honored to routinely provide them a safe and unique training location!

The summer is shaping up to be just as busy….

We are proud to be a POSA sponsor.

Merkle Standard's support for the Pend Oreille Sports Association reflects a belief that strong communities are built not only with bricks and wires, but with encouragement, opportunity, and care.

By investing in POSA, Merkle Standard helps open doors for local youth to engage in sport, to grow in teamwork, courage, and joy, and to feel deeply seen and supported. In bringing resources and presence to this place we all love, they remind us that when business stands shoulder to shoulder with community, everyone thrives.
