We're looking forward to welcoming women from across Iowa's tech community to Source Allies on November 18th for the next Women in Tech Happy Hour!

From software engineering and cybersecurity to data, product, and innovation, this event brings together women with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives for an afternoon of meaningful connection.

The afternoon will feature a panel discussion and plenty of time to network with others in the local tech community. It will be a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and build relationships beyond your everyday work.

Tonight, October 12th, DSM Web Geeks is hosting its Hacktoberfest 2026, an evening of contributing to open source alongside other local developers.

Here’s a look back at September at Source Allies, a month of putting what we value into action.

Our teammates spent the month sharing what they know, learning from others, investing in the local tech community, meeting the next generation of technologists, and making time to strengthen the relationships within our own team.
We also had something pretty special to celebrate. Source Allies was named a Top Workplace and received the New Ideas specialty award, an honor that went to just one Iowa company. Because these awards are based on feedback from our own teammates, they’re especially meaningful. They reflect a culture shaped by the people who experience it every day and continue finding new ways to make it better.

That’s really the thread running through September. Whether we were sharing expertise, connecting with our community, trying something new, or simply spending time together, it all came back to how we learn, teach, build, connect, and keep finding better ways to do the work.

As an AI Governance and Enablement Consultant at Source Allies, Jamie works deeply in the space where AI strategy, responsible adoption, and practical implementation come together.

In her session, “A Second Brain You Can Actually Build,” Jamie will share a her approach to using AI to manage the growing context of meetings, decisions, priorities, and conversations, leaving more room for the thinking and judgment that still need a human.
