I’ve talked about brand storytelling for years, and the reason I keep coming back to it is simple: people connect with people before they connect with products, services, or offers.
A good brand story doesn’t have to be dramatic. It doesn’t have to be overly personal. But it does need to help people feel something.
Maybe your story started with a problem you wanted to solve. Maybe it came from your own experience, a frustration you had, a client you wanted to help, or a moment when you realized there was a better way to do the work.

A Realtor isn’t just helping someone buy or sell a house. She may be helping a family move through one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
A consultant isn’t just offering strategy. She may be helping a business owner finally get out of the fog and into clarity.
That’s the part of marketing we can’t afford to lose — especially now, when content is everywhere and so much of it sounds the same.
Your story gives your marketing a heartbeat and reminds people that there is a real person, a real purpose, and a real reason behind the work.
That is brand storytelling.
