The Iran conflict will end.

The Red Sea disruption before it has eased. The pandemic has been declared over. The Suez blockage was cleared.

Every one of those events felt unprecedented while it was happening. Every one of them exposed the same gap.

The manufacturers who lead in the next decade won’t have fewer disruptions. They’ll have better supply chain intelligence.

That starts with knowing – really knowing – what’s happening across your physical supply chain right now. Not last week. Not from an ERP record. Right now, at 99.9% accuracy.
The time to build it is before the next crisis, not during it.

Rise above uncertainty.

A disruption doesn't reveal your supply chain vulnerabilities.

It just makes them visible to everyone else.

Supply chains experience a 40% average surge in cost-to-serve following a major disruption. Two-thirds of companies expect to lose revenue.

The gap between companies that weather disruption and those that don't isn't strategy. It's supply chain intelligence. Knowing where your physical assets are. Knowing when a supplier is slipping before it becomes your problem.

Our customers aren't asking where their inventory is right now, they already know.

04/15/2026

There is a simple test for any new visibility project. Ask the plant team one question: “Do you trust what this screen is telling you enough to act without double‑checking?”

If the answer is no, you do not have a control tower problem. You have a data problem.

But when the answer is yes — when the reads are right and the system matches what the floor already knows — something changes. People stop working around the tools and start leaning on them. Decisions get faster. Fire drills get rarer.

Real visibility starts where the reads happen. Everything after that finally works the way the vendor promised it would.

We've been watching the supply chain fallout from the Iran conflict closely.

The shipping disruption is real. The energy shock is real. But the deeper problem is one that existed before Iran and will exist after it ends: most manufacturers don't have supply chain intelligence accurate enough to act on when disruption moves this fast.

We published a piece on what that gap looks like and what it actually takes to close it.

Link in the comments.

The manufacturers who come through this strongest won't be the ones who got lucky with their supplier geography. They'll be the ones who knew.

Just-in-time manufacturing was built for a world that no longer exists.

Critical parts and assets for 2026 production runs are stranded in the Gulf. Returnable container cycles are breaking down. Tier 1 suppliers who can't see their own inventory positions are making procurement calls on incomplete data.

JIT works when you can see every node in your supply chain clearly enough to trust the timing. Right now, most manufacturers can't.

What doesn't break down: knowing exactly where your returnable assets are. Knowing your WIP status in real time. Having agentic AI flag a supplier problem before it reaches your line.

That's what Interius was built for.

If you're feeling this right now, we should talk.

Here's a scenario happening in boardrooms right now:
A manufacturer finds out one of their primary suppliers operates 17 facilities worldwide. One of those facilities is in the Middle East.

Now they have no idea what that means for their production schedule next month.

This isn't negligence. It's how most supply chains were built - optimized for calm, with supply chain intelligence that ends at Tier 1 and ERP data that reflects last week, not right now.

The companies we work with don't have this problem. They know where their assets are. They know which suppliers are exposed. Sophia flags risk before it becomes their problem.

Supply chain intelligence isn't a nice-to-have. Right now it's the foundation of every decision that matters.

The Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed.

Tanker traffic is down 90%. Air cargo rates are up 50%. And manufacturers around the world are asking the same question:

"Where, exactly, are my assets, my inventory, and my suppliers?"
For most, they don't fully know.

That's not the oil price problem. That's the supply chain intelligence problem. And it's the real crisis inside the crisis.

Supply chains that can answer that question right now will absorb this disruption. The ones that can't are in a different kind of trouble.

This is the environment manufacturing was always going to face. The companies that prepared for it aren't panicking.

This March, we are focusing on what sustainable, data-driven supply chains look like in practice.

We will dig into real-time inventory visibility, returnable packaging performance, and how better data reduces waste, fire drills, and surprises between plants and partners.

If your team is wrestling with lost assets, emergency expedites, or missing visibility between locations, this series will show how Interius can give you a live picture of your returnable packaging so you can act with confidence instead of guessing.

Another Manifest is in the books! This year’s conversations made one thing clear: the industry is ready to move with confidence.

From agentic AI to operational resilience, Manifest 2026 highlighted a strong focus on practical ex*****on and real-world impact. The dialogue around data accuracy, automation, and decision-making reinforced how critical clarity has become in complex supply chain environments.

We’re grateful for the time spent with both new and longtime partners this week, and for the thoughtful conversations about building truth-driven supply chains. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Here’s the truth most don’t want to face: most supply chains still operate at just 85–92% data accuracy. That small gap hides massive inefficiency - and it’s where cost, waste, and missed opportunity live.

In 2026, the leaders won’t be defined by how much data they collect, but by how much they can trust. Accurate data fuels AI, powers digital twins, and ensures every automation system performs exactly as designed.

At Surgere, we build networks that deliver 99.9% data accuracy, transforming information into insight and truth into a measurable advantage.

Because today, clarity isn’t optional, it’s the edge that endures.
