Cloud Storage companies have focused on putting the antiquated model of folders
and files into the cloud, which does not fit with how people actually organize the information that is linked to the important things in their lives. Until now, consumers had only two options:
a) Connecting photos, snaps, scans, URL links and documents to stacks or folders in apps like Evernote, Wunderlist, etc. b) Using Dropbox and others to create folders to represent the important things in their lives, and then adding a disorganized cluster of files, photos and documents
Personal Clouds allow consumers to create clouds of content, connected to a growing, structured repository of stuff: Products, Businesses, People, Places, Plants, Animals, Art, Music, Food, Entertainment, Sports, etc. The early adopters of this new model are using Personal Clouds in ways never imagined:

My Stuff - all of the stuff I own, when I purchased it, the warranty information and the serial numbers. Connected information like my car insurance and service history is linked to each of my vehicles. And the connected content gives me information on Accessories, Parts Lists, Replacement Parts, Forums, etc. Thousands of other examples continue to be created every month, and the Connected Content repository is on track to overtake Wikipedia by August this year.
