Q: What does RFI stand for?

A: RFI stands for Request for Information. Construction projects involve detailed plans, specifications, and contract requirements, and sometimes clarification is needed before work can move forward. An RFI provides a documented way for contractors and project teams to ask questions and resolve unclear or conflicting information. Managing RFIs effectively can help teams document decisions and keep projects moving.

Q: What does NTP stand for?

A: NTP stands for Notice to Proceed. In public works and school construction, the Notice to Proceed is an important project milestone because it formally authorizes the contractor to begin the work. Depending on the contract, it may also establish when contract time begins, making the NTP important for tracking schedules, milestones, and completion requirements.
