The Collage Job Description

Have you ever wondered what someone in HR was thinking when they posted the job description you were reading? It seems to be happening for me more frequently recently.
I just reviewed a job description for a very large organization that was so long, I forgot what the actual job was the job description was describing! Eventually, I realized this was in fact four or five different roles in IT and cybersecurity that had been collaged together. It was a cybersecurity role that to b ne polite, was not “well defined”.

We are entering a time when changing jobs will happen more frequently. People will be reinventing themselves faster than ever before. What will that mean for employers and employees? What will that mean for you?

In the coming weeks, I will explore the changes that are coming to us all regarding careers and perhaps the very nature of work itself. I hope to inspire conversations that lead to understanding and help those of us in the tech sector sort through the many challenges we have today and that we will encounter in the very near future.
