Wednesday PSA from CSM Designs!
We LOVE seeing all the incredible things AI can do, and honestly, it's become an amazing tool for brainstorming ideas and bringing your vision to life. But here's a little secret from the printing world...
AI images and vector files are NOT the same thing.
An AI-generated image is just that, an image. While it may look great on your screen, it's often not created in a format that can produce the crisp, high-quality results needed for professional printing, embroidery, signage, vehicle graphics, and many other products.
A vector file, on the other hand, is built using mathematical paths instead of pixels. That means it can be resized from the size of a business card to the side of a building without losing quality. It also allows us to separate colors, make clean cuts, and produce the sharp, professional finish your brand deserves.
Here's another thing to keep in mind... AI doesn't always get the details right. The design we're sharing is a perfect example. It generated a skyline that looked much more like New York City than St. Louis, a detail that could easily be missed if you aren't familiar with the area. AI is incredibly smart, but it still needs a human eye to catch those little things that make a design truly accurate.
So, by all means...
~ Use AI to brainstorm.
~Use AI to spark creativity.
~ Use AI to help visualize your ideas.
