What you don’t see is what you’ll find fascinating.

In Spire’s new showroom experience, Jason Bellanti demonstrates Sonance Invisible Speakers. This solution is designed to blend so completely into the architecture that you literally don’t see them.

From a design standpoint, that creates another option in the palette. The room, the materials, the millwork and the architecture can remain the visual focus, with nothing competing for attention.

Invisible is one extreme. In other spaces, a beautifully designed grille or speaker can become part of the esthetic itself. The opportunity is having the freedom to choose what best supports the design intent.

That’s what thoughtful technology integration is really about: giving designers more options, not more compromises.

SPIRE AT 25 | JOHN ELLINGTON

John Ellington did not come to Spire looking for just another job.

He had already spent years in the industry and knew what strong technical work should look like. Before joining Spire nearly 15 years ago, he took the time to make sure the company was everything it claimed to be.

“It turns out they were.”

What John found was a company that took engineering seriously. Detailed documentation. Better tools. Higher expectations. The trust to solve difficult problems and the responsibility to get them right.

That standard has taken John from highly complex residential projects to direct recognition from Savant as an early member of its programmer beta team. But his greatest contribution may not be found in any one system. It is found in the people he has helped develop.

Several of Spire’s current leads and programmers started with little industry experience. John helped teach them, challenge them and prepare them to take on more.

“It’s always good to see others achieve.”

That is what Row Together looks like.

It is also how a company lasts: experienced people sharing what they know, raising the standard and helping the next generation become ready to lead.

Technology will keep changing. The systems will become more intelligent, more connected and more complex. John’s confidence in Spire comes from something much simpler:

SPIRE AT 25 SPOTLIGHT | Brad Slamans, Director of Technology

Ten years ago, Brad Slamans was searching for the best Savant dealers in Michigan. After interviewing with Spire, he knew immediately it was where he wanted to build his career.

Since then, Brad has helped lead some of Spire’s most ambitious residential and multi-unit projects. But the moments that stand out most are not defined only by their size or complexity. They are the moments when the entire team comes together.

“I’m always most proud to work here when we’re in crunch time. No excuses. Everyone collaborates, works toward the same goal, and finds a way to create something amazing.”

For Brad, that teamwork reflects what makes Spire different. It is a close-knit company that thinks beyond the next project or the next year. Decisions are made with the belief that Spire is building something meant to endure.

Brad is grateful to Navot and Jason for the trust, opportunities, and responsibility he has been given throughout his career—and for the ability to learn, grow, support his family, and help others succeed along the way.
