First Friday Art Walk: NexLynx Gallery is the “must see” art gallery on the First Friday Art Walk located in the historic Bates Building in the heart of Downtown Topeka. Recipient of the 2017 People's Choice "Favorite Art Walk Venue" Award. Since 2010, we have shown hundreds of original photographs, paintings, carvings and sculptures from dozens of local and regional artists. Midwest Bruins: NexLynx has sponsored the Midwest Bruins, a showcase baseball team, since 2009. KYEA Mentoring: Mentoring youths with disabilities, Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy (KYEA) strives to support young adults to be contributing members of their community. Lee Ryan, the NexLynx President, has participated in numerous mentoring programs for several years encouraging youth who are interested in the computer IT field.
