…is not a phrase that Youngstown Vol Fire Co. has to worry about. Congratulations to them on their purchase of new Unication G2+ pagers, and newly Refreshed Minitor VI Pagers!

To keep their firefighters and EMT’s alert to calls in their district, Youngstown realized they needed to keep up on their aging fleet of pagers, and we’re honored they chose us here at Niagara Signal to get them set up right.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tyler’s family during this time. He was a great supporter of us, and we thank him for his years of service to the community.

It is with great sadness that we notify you of the loss of one of our members, Tyler Schenck, who passed away in an accident last evening.

Tyler was not only a valued and respected member of our organization, but also a member of the Erie County Department of Health, EMS Division; the Erie County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Services, Hazardous Materials Response Team; and Hamburg EMS, as well as a former member of Reserve Fire Company.

At approximately 2200 hours on August 22, 2026, emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident in the Town of Elma. Members of the Blossom Vol. Fire Company, Spring Brook Fire District #1, Erie County EMS, and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded and worked together to manage the incident.

Tyler was described by those who knew and worked alongside him as lovable, lighthearted, and a passionate EMS provider who genuinely cared about everyone he met. During his time serving in the fire and EMS communities, Tyler made a meaningful impact on his coworkers, fellow first responders, and the people he served. His loss will be deeply felt throughout our public safety, fire, and EMS communities. Our deepest condolences go out to the Schenck family, Tyler’s friends, and his fellow members during this incredibly difficult time.

“They’re launching fireworks directly at us on purpose”

Buffalo City Police & Firefighters having fireworks fired directly at them by partygoers in downtown. Meanwhile, BFD Engine 34 was stuck on Steven’s Street as they were surrounded by people and unable to move.

We are deeply saddened to hear these heinous activities happening in our beloved city of “good neighbors”. Keep yourselves safe, and informed on what’s happening in your community.

Our scanner specialist, and Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Hanna has graduated from Nursing School today!

For the past few years, Andrew has risen through the ranks of local EMS agencies from the rank of EMT-B, all the way up to CC-Paramedic and Assistant Chief. Adding to his already impressive resume, he can now practice as a Nurse in hospital settings!

In addition to all of the dedication to his school work, he never wavered in his dedication to us here at Niagara Signal. He assisted in programming numerous scanners, refreshing pagers, and selling our services to local agencies.
