IT’S SADIE HAWKINS DAY! Sadie Hawkins Day is an American folk event and pseudo-holiday originated by Al Capp's hillbilly comic strip Li'l Abner. The annual comic strip storyline inspired real-world Sadie Hawkins events, the premise of which is that women ask men for a date or dancing. Ok, gals- git on after that feller!

He was the Royal Illustrator of Oz, as well as one of the Royal Historians - he illustrated 35 of the Famous Forty Oz books, three of which he also wrote.
