This week we honor the legacy of Dr. Ida Gray Nelson Rollins and recognize her remarkable achievements as one of the first African American women to earn a degree in dentistry. She made incredible strides in her career, becoming the first African American woman to own a dental practice in Cincinnati and Chicago.

Dr. Rollins commitment to her patients and community was unmatched. She was known for providing top-quality dental care to her patients, regardless of their background or financial situation. Not only was she a pioneer in her field, but Dr. Rollins was a passionate advocate for women's rights and encouraged young women to pursue science careers.

The National Association of Colored Women is a testament to her life's work, and we thank her for her tireless efforts in advocating for civil rights and equal opportunities. Her commitment to her field and dedication to equality for all women live on in her memory and serve as an inspiration for generations to come.

Born in Massachusetts in 1846, Dr. Grant was one of the first African American dental surgeons, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations.
His commitment to the field was unwavering, and he was known for his innovative techniques and his ability to perform complex procedures with ease. He was also highly regarded for his compassion, often treating patients who were unable to pay and giving back to his community in countless ways.
Dr. Grant's legacy in dentistry extends far beyond his clinical work. He was a vocal advocate for the importance of oral health, and worked tirelessly to educate the public on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. He was also a founding member of several dental organizations, including the National Dental Association, which was established to provide support and resources for African American dental professionals.

All Scale IT is proud to recognize Dr. Robert Tanner Freeman, one of the first professionally trained black dentists in the United States. His courage and determination to pursue a career in the dental industry despite facing racial discrimination, and his commitment to mentoring other African American youth interested in the medical profession, are truly inspiring.

It is a shame that he did not live to see the formation of the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society. This society works hard to extend dental treatment and education to the impoverished, the disabled, and people of color.

We are grateful to the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society for ensuring that Dr. Freeman's legacy will live on. His dedication to excellence in the field of dentistry has been an inspiration to many and will continue to be for generations to come.

On average, it will take a company six months to detect a data breach. Within those six months, a hacker will have enough time to decrypt and gain access to any secured and unsecured files.
By the time companies discover a breach, chances are the hacker has locked them out of the software.

So how can we protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our business from being attacked?

Here are three ways to protect yourself and your company:

1.) Regular Software/System updates - The best way to prevent an attack is to be sure your software and systems are fully updated. An outdated system allows cybercriminals the ability to slip through without being detected.
2.) Firewall - A firewall system can block any attacks made on your network.
3.) Passwords - Having the same password for all logins is dangerous and will leave you open for an attack. If a hacker figures out a password for one account, they will have access to all accounts. Changing account passwords is also a great way to avoid cyberattacks.
