Me and my Oliver Tree piece from ARTOMATIC419 this past weekend.

Thanks for all the love on this piece and shared feelings. It’s wonder to see music interests and art connect people 💚

This piece took over 80 hrs. I started about a week after his passing in June (so around the 20th). 13 different colors of yarn mainly loops and thread and one Bernat.

It is 22,500 stitches! 🧶

My artomatic419 piece is live!

This year my piece is in honor of (Many condolences to his friends and family ✨)

My spouse and I decided to get tickets in August earlier in the year. I haven't been to a concert since before covid, so l was pretty anxious. I also kept wondering "What is an Oliver Tree concert like?" Probably fun and a little weird was my guess, but now I will never know.

About a week after his passing, I knew I wanted to crochet a tapestry piece of Oliver and I got to work. I finished it just this Tuesday in time for installation.
Huge shout out to for having these gallery events because without them I would not push myself to create outside my normal box. (That box being clothing and accessories which I still love, but it's fun to make something new.)
This piece is up on display through the weekend so go check it out in real life! It's my largest piece yet!
