🗓️ MID-MONTH REVIEW HP-NEXT — August 2026
Twelve days. Eleven releases. Here's everything that landed on Husbandry.Pro since our last report — plus a look at what's landing next. 👇
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
💰 SELLING JUST GOT SERIOUS
If you sell animals, this is the biggest month we've ever shipped.
🎪 Live Ops is here. Open the show floor and your show card flips into a dedicated operations panel built for the table — sell, invoice, and hand the customer a receipt without leaving the screen. Backdate a sale, choose whether it counts toward that show's P&L, and pull up any past show's sales and reports without walking back through the checkout wizard.
🧾 Invoices grew up. Add animals or products straight from a catalog picker. Record payments in-app and see a full ledger per invoice. A new KPIs tab tracks outstanding, overdue, collection rate, and aging. Create a customer mid-invoice — type a name, hit +. Receipts now show who took the payment, what it was for, and a custom message from you.
📊 Pricing has real numbers behind it. Pricing Management shows total animals, average price, total collection value, and average discount. Price Suggestions finally returns comparable sales — sortable, filterable, sorted by price.

🐍 BOAS, REBUILT
We overhauled the boa genetics system from the taxonomy up: proper subspecies tracking and a rebuilt gene catalogue, so breeding calculations reflect what boas actually are.
🔤 Gene names are now unified platform-wide — legacy spellings like "Hypo" correctly resolve to "Hypomelanistic," so old records stop falling out of the calculator.
🧬 And the Genetics Calculator now covers every species with genes in the system, not just the ones in your collection. Plan a pairing for an animal you're still thinking about buying. 👀

⚡ REPTILEADS — A TWO-WAY SYNC
This one's a live connection, not a one-time push. Change an animal's status in Husbandry.Pro and the ad follows: sold animals move to sold, archived animals go back to drafts. Sessions refresh themselves so connections stop quietly expiring, we check the connection before a push instead of after it fails, and a push now reports exactly what happened — drafted count, failures, next steps. No more silent close.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📥 MORPHMARKET — IMPORT, ENHANCED
Different job, and worth being clear about it: this brings your MorphMarket animals INTO Husbandry.Pro. It's an import, not a sync — but a much smarter one than it was.
You now get real per-animal progress with a counter, running totals, and outcome badges instead of a blank spinner. Genetics resolve correctly with zygosity preserved. Species you don't have yet get created for you. And "Leopard Geckos" no longer trips the importer on a plural. It lives in the Integrations workspace now, right next to your other connection tools.

🏷️ LABELS, QR & SCANNING
Rack and enclosure labels are in the Label Designer, so you can print templates with rack names and QR codes. 💵 Discount pricing can go on QR labels and price lists. The Price List Builder can use genetics as the descriptor — always, or only when no descriptor exists. The enclosure picker now includes groups and habitats, not just racks and cages.
📱 Continuous Scan means scan, record, scan again — no reopening the scanner between animals. There's a toggle in your profile, and it syncs to your account instead of living on one device.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🍽️ FEEDING & RACKS
Scope the Feed Item Pick List to a single rack instead of the whole room. Feed a rack or group and mark every other animal in it as refused in one step. Bulk-update feeding schedules — feed item, frequency, quantity, reminders, next feed date — across multiple animals at once.
🔁 And feeding can now be a step inside a custom combo activity, so "Morning Routine: Clean → Water Change → Feed" runs as one action, with the feeder pulled from each animal's defaults.
🗄️ Manage Racks picked up View, Move, and Bulk modes, plus the ability to pull animals out of slots and drop them into empty ones right from the grid.

🔌 BUILD ON TOP OF US
There's now an API tab in your profile. Create and manage your own API keys and connect external devices and software straight to your collection. 🤖

✨ THE SMALL STUFF THAT ADDS UP
🔍 Quick Search on the Animals list — find something without opening the full filter panel 🔢 Page numbers at the bottom, plus an optional A–Z index ↔️ The Animal ID column is no longer nailed to position one 🔎 Species search returns everything instead of stopping at 10 (and forgives punctuation) 📏 Length in inches, and temperatures that respect your °F/°C setting everywhere 🐣 Auto-filled birthing records when you convert a clutch 🖼️ Photos appear the moment you upload them 📲 Reproduction forms that are actually readable on a phone 🚀 Faster dashboards, faster photo loading 📚 43 new help articles covering everything we shipped
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🧹 AND THE UNGLAMOROUS STUFF
We also killed a dashboard crash, a Documents workspace crash, invoice totals that wouldn't update after a payment, an animal view that occasionally showed someone else's photo, orange text on orange badges, ticket emails that had quietly stopped sending, an onboarding wizard picking the wrong package, and a security hole where checkout prices could be set client-side instead of by the server. 🔒
Plus roughly thirty more fixes we won't make you read about. 😅
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🔮 WHAT'S NEXT
Three big ones are right on the doorstep. 👀
🐠 A whole new room: FISH. A full Fish Room workspace is coming — breeding, tank tracking, water tests, and group sales. If you keep fish alongside your reptiles, they're about to live in the same system.
🔌 The public API is nearly complete — the keys tab you got this month was step one. Full documented access to your collection is close.
🦎 And the full ReptileAds integration is days away. Not weeks. Days.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📋 Every single one is written up, dated, and versioned on the changelog on the new site. If you want the full list — boring fixes and all — that's where it lives.
