Every year we plan our Monster Detective Collective Presentations around Public Power Week. This week we visited East Taunton, Mulcahey, and Galligan and taught the fourth graders all about electricity. Stay tuned for more photos as we will be visiting the rest of the schools in our territory during the month of October!

Today, we kick off Public Power Week, which lasts from October 4–10, 2026!

We celebrate the many benefits of public power and extend a special thanks to our very own Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant (TMLP) for their commitment to keeping our community powered safely, reliably, and affordably.

Public power means local service, local jobs, and local accountability — and TMLP has been proudly serving Taunton for over a century.

TMLP, we appreciate you!
