There's no such thing as a high-budget WordPress site.
You can throw $60k, $80k, six figures at it. Custom theme. WP Engine. Headless Next glued on top. ACF stacked like Jenga. A “senior WordPress architect” billing by the hour.
It's still a shed.
You bought the Home Depot kit. Then you put in quartz, a mini-split, recessed lighting, and a camera and started calling it a house.
The walls are particle board. The foundation is a plugin that last got a real update in 2019.
WordPress is an excellent CMS. It is a poor application platform.
If the money is real and the thing is a product, start with a product stack. If the thing is a site, stop calling it a platform.
Budget does not change the architecture.
