We had an amazing time at connecting with National Guard service members and discovering how PEC can support them. We’ve already had the chance to meet with so many leaders from across the country, but if you didn't get a chance to stop by, we'd still love to connect.

PEC's Guard Language Program offers the most effective way to master a language, combining live instruction from native-speaking, highly experienced teachers with a flexible, proven curriculum. It’s the only language program built from the ground up specifically to serve the National Guard.

Make sure your state doesn’t miss out and connect with us!

What opportunities is your state missing out on?

Over the last calendar year, PEC has connected with 33 of the 54 U.S. states, territories, and districts that make up the National Guard’s State Partnership Program. These connections have allowed us to meet with SPP directors and coordinators for virtual briefings, learn more about each state’s partnerships in depth, and support BAOs, directors, and other SPP personnel in language training classes.

We are honored to engage with those that we’ve met, but we want to ensure that all 54 State Partnership Programs are supporting their international partnerships equally. PEC’s Guard Language Program is the first and only fully virtual language school specifically designed to support members of the National Guard, allowing individual states to directly fund courses for personnel who have language training needs.

States participating in the Guard Language Program find better connections, stronger partnerships, and a fuller understanding of their international partners.

If we have not yet had the chance to meet with you, do not miss out. We would love to connect with all 54 SPPs in the coming year!

Language training that works for you.

As a Bilateral Affairs Officer(BAO), you’re at the forefront of the SPP’s state and foreign nation partnership. You know how key language training is. You’ve tried to do language training before and run into the same roadblocks:

🗓️ ❌ Inflexible schedules
✈️ ❌ Required travel for in-person classes
🏫 ❌Generalized curriculum

The Guard Language Program (A PEC School) was designed specifically for the National Guard and built to eliminate these roadblocks with:

💻✅ Accessible virtual learning for service members
🕐 ✅ 24-hour-a-day scheduling options
📚 ✅ Course built around specified training goals

Our BAO courses are designed to prepare you for and support you during immersion in your partner nation by increasing language proficiency and providing guidance to navigate meetings, ceremonies, and work events. Fully customized courses, built around your language needs.

The Guard Language School isn’t just for BAOs! All of our courses are fully customizable based on specific student needs, unit or state requirements, and unique mission scenarios. From 1:1 training to group classes, absolute beginners to advanced proficiency students, and short to long-term training, we can design a solution that works for you.

Please reach out to us to discuss your current and upcoming language training needs.

We’re excited to be headed to this year! From connecting with National Guard leadership to helping officers discover how they can learn a new language and expand their knowledge, this is one of the most impactful events of our year, and we can’t thank National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS enough for putting it on.

If you’re headed there, make sure to come connect with us and learn how we can support any and all learning efforts your state or territory may have!

Language strengthens partnerships.

For over 30 years, the DoD has strategically partnered each U.S. state, territory, and D.C. with foreign partner nations around the world. National Guard members affiliated with their state’s State Partnership Program (SPP) work with delegates from their state’s partner nation(s) to conduct military-to-military engagements, humanitarian activities, and security cooperation in support of U.S. foreign policy goals.

The Guard Language Program was designed with SPP participants at the forefront. PEC’s curriculum seamlessly integrates regional expertise and cultural education into all language courses, giving service members a leg up when preparing for immersion into their partner nations, participating in training exercises with foreign militaries, and hosting partner delegates.

PEC is honored to be exhibiting at the State Partnership Program conference this week in Savannah, Georgia, where we’ll have the opportunity to learn more about each state's partnerships and needs. If you are attending, please stop by to say hi – we’re looking forward to meeting you!

What’s “the best kept secret in the National Guard?”

The Guard Language Program, according to our students.

With over two decades of providing virtual language training to agencies across the DoD, PEC is uniquely capable of merging technology and human-first language learning. In partnership with the NGB, PEC piloted the Guard Language Program in 2019, and it was centrally funded in 2020. This PEC School is the first and only fully virtual language school specifically designed to support members of the National Guard.
The NGB now allows individual states to directly fund courses for personnel who have language training needs. This direct funding option provides leadership with increased control and oversight and allows for full customization to tailor training to meet exact state requirements and unique student needs.
