Companies adopting AI are hiring slightly more people overall, according to new Stanford and King’s College London research.

The catch is that senior roles are growing while junior roles are shrinking. A good reminder to look past titles at what people can actually do.

A couple of numbers worth knowing:

Hoxhunt's 2026 Phishing Trends Report found AI-generated outreach messages now get a 54% click-through rate, compared to 12% for traditionally written ones. Separately, a February 2026 scan of 5.5 million domains found 69.6% still have no protection against their name being spoofed.

None of this makes AI-generated outreach a problem. Most of it is completely legitimate and genuinely useful. It just means a polished, personal-looking message isn't a reliable signal of legitimacy on its own anymore.

A few habits worth building either way: check the real email address behind the display name, look for a signature you can actually verify, hover before clicking any link, and check how established the sender's company or domain actually looks.

Good practice for any outreach, the same way people learned to double check links long before AI was part of the conversation.

On September 3rd, ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, three of the handful of frontier model providers behind most of today's AI, all experienced outages within the same hour. A trending reminder of how much shared infrastructure sits underneath the applications built on top of them.

The real fix isn't switching to a "safer" frontier model, it's how the application layer on top is designed. That's exactly the layer we work in: building AI-enabled applications and systems for clients that stay resilient even when a model underneath has a bad day.

Here's something most people don't know about NovaMatch: we didn't build it by studying the hiring industry from the outside. We lived it first.
Novalink is a staffing solutions firm before anything else. Long before this tool existed, our own recruiters were the ones buried in resumes every day, trying to figure out who actually had real technical experience and who just knew which buzzwords to list.

Technical hiring is its own challenge. A resume that lists Kubernetes isn't the same as a resume from someone who's actually shipped with it, and a generic keyword filter can't tell the difference.
So when we built NovaMatch, we built it around what we'd actually seen, not a theory of how hiring should work.

There are a lot of AI hiring tools out there right now, and plenty of good reasons to be skeptical of most of them. NovaMatch doesn't decide who gets hired. It helps a recruiter see past the keywords to who actually has the experience, and it shows the reasoning instead of hiding it.

AI is showing up everywhere in the workplace. Most security teams are still catching up to it.
Proofpoint's 2026 AI and Human Risk Landscape report surveyed over 1,400 security professionals across 12 countries. Some of what they found:

One major EU AI compliance deadline just arrived.
