You can have a fast internet connection and still experience lag.
Why? Latency.
Bandwidth tells you how much data your connection can handle. Latency measures how long it takes data to travel from one point to another and back.
High latency can affect:
📞 VoIP calls
🎥 Video meetings
☁️ Cloud applications
🖥️ Remote desktops
🌐 Web applications
Think of bandwidth as the number of lanes on a highway and latency as how long the trip takes.
More lanes can handle more traffic—but they don’t necessarily make the destination closer.
