PSA to anyone that either owns your own business, manages an office, receives office mail, or deals with IT task at your company.

If you ever receive one of these letters in the mail trash it or better yet shred it.

This is an old “Legal” scam to get you to move your web site and/or email domain name registrar from where you originally registered it, i.e. GoDaddy, Network Solutions, or etc to this company. This scam is like; ok I’m going to show my age, getting someone to move their long distance calling service on their home phone back in my day 🤣.

If you fall for it, your web site and email could temporarily stop working because of the change and you or the people that manages your web and email sites may not know why at first.

The only good thing in this document is the reminder that your domain name will be expiring on the date in the letter so don’t forget to renew your domain through your original domain registrar.

Thanks to an old friend for asking me to review this since I have not seen this scam in several years.

I’m sitting here thinking about this wasted trip to the Chevrolet dealership.

The system all these dealerships use was “hacked” 2 days ago and it’s still down. They are having to do everything manually since “everything” including the front end alignment machine is connected to this system.

Businesses of EVERY size need to take IT security seriously. Can your company survive not having the previous day or weekends data or have the ability to do everything manually during this outage. Prevention is the solution.
