🔥 Goodnight from the Hearth… Campground Edition 🏕️🌙
We're calling it an early night around here. ❤️
We made it to camp, got everything settled in, filled our bellies, sat around the fire for a bit, and now everybody is tired and ready to crawl into bed.
Hazel & Henry wasted absolutely NO time making themselves at home. They claimed their own chairs at dinner and I'm fairly certain they think this whole camping trip was planned specifically for them. 😂🪿🪿
But now the fire is burning low, the campground is getting quiet, and we're ending our first evening exactly the way I hoped we would — together. ❤️
Tomorrow we'll see what kind of adventures (and probably goose shenanigans 😂) the day brings.

🪿 GOOSE ON THE LOOSE: Campground Dinner Edition 🏕️😂

Well, it didn't take long.
Hazel & Henry made it to the campground, claimed their own chairs at the kids' table, and apparently expect to be served dinner. 🤣
Nobody invited them.
Nobody set them a place.
They just pulled up a chair. 😂🪿🪿
At this point I'm pretty sure they're not our decorations anymore. They're family members. 🤦‍♀️🤣
And judging by the way they're sitting there waiting… somebody better make them a plate. 😂
Who do you think is going to cause the first bit of campground trouble—Hazel or Henry? 👀🪿

🪿🪿 GOOSE ON THE LOOSE: Back at Camp Edition! 🏕️😂

Well… apparently Hazel & Henry heard we were going camping and there was NO leaving them behind.
They’ve done this before, so they knew the drill — outfits on, loaded up, seatbelt secured and ready to hit the road. 🤣
Honestly, they look more prepared for this trip than the rest of us. 😂
I packed 17 bags of homemade camping snack mix, Rice Krispie treats, enough clothes to survive the wilderness… and apparently two geese. 🪿🪿
We’re officially off for a weekend with the family! ❤️🏕️
Now the real question is… how long before these two get into trouble at the campground? 👀🤣

☕️ Good Morning from the Hearth! 🏕️
Good morning, friends! I managed to sneak in a little extra sleep this morning, and now it's time to get this day moving. 😂
Walmart apparently knew we had places to be because our grocery delivery showed up bright and early at 7:30! The cooler already has water and ice, and today I'll be packing clothes and putting together all our camping snacks for the weekend.
On the menu: homemade Rice Krispie treats, a big sweet-and-salty camping snack mix, and what we have officially named Feral Berry Bags. 🤣🍓🫐 Don't ask. It made sense last night. 😂
Then we'll pack everybody up and get ready to trade the Hearth for the campground for a few days. ❤️🏕️
And yes... the sewing machine is staying HOME. I'm still very proud of my personal growth. 🤣 Hazel and Henry are ready to go! 😆 🪿 🪿

🪿 GOOSE ON THE LOOSE: Spooky Season Edition 🎃👻
Well… apparently Hazel & Henry have been busy while I was relaxing on the couch.
They got into the nuts and candy corn, invited a couple of questionable characters over, and now I'm pretty sure there's some kind of Halloween party happening at the Hearth. 😂
I don't know which one of them is the bad influence, but judging by the evidence on the table… I'm blaming Henry. 🤣
And these two think they're going CAMPING with us this weekend?!
Lord help us. 🪿🪿😂

🌙 Goodnight from the Hearth
Well friends… I think every department at Hollow & Hearth clocked in today. 😂
We started with coffee and a slice of that Blueberry Lemon Sourdough — and that lemon glaze officially made it a keeper. 🫐🍋
The freeze dryer FINALLY released my tomatoes after 91 hours, and all five trays are crushed, sealed and tucked away until I turn them into tomato powder. 🍅
There was coffee with the girls, a grocery run, a rather ridiculous amount of blueberries acquired, a little time at the sewing machine, and I managed to finish another bowl cover and mug rug before the kiddos came home. 🧵
Then tonight we had homemade pizza, and apparently the Soap Department and Sewing Department decided to merge because I made the CUTEST little Halloween gift set with a handmade washcloth and pumpkin soap. 🎃🧼
And because I apparently cannot leave well enough alone, I’ve now spent part of my evening dreaming up Christmas soaps, little farm soaps, soap embeds and about 700 other things I absolutely did not need another hobby for. 😂
But now?
I am on the couch. 🙌
Tomorrow we pack up and get ready for a camping weekend with the family, and I’m actually leaving the sewing machine HOME. Please respect my personal growth. 🤣
