Goodnight from Hollow & Hearth. 🌙🍂
Today was one of those full, happy Saturdays — Hartville flea market, lunch out, plenty of browsing, two more farm market stops, and somehow we still came home with apples, oranges, pumpkins, mums… and candy onions that apparently volunteered me for another canning project. 😂
We didn’t get home until almost 6, but it was such a fun day and absolutely worth the tired feet.
Now I’m ending the night the best way possible — curled up watching a movie with my husband and letting the to-do list wait until tomorrow. 💛

Good morning from Hollow & Hearth! ☕🍂
We’re on the road to Hartville this morning, and apparently the husband decided we needed to get moving before I had much time to even think about a post. 😂
So today’s agenda is simple: wander, look around, see what treasures we can find, and enjoy a little Saturday adventure.
Craft-show prep will be waiting when we get home — but for now, we’re off to see what Hartville has for us. 💛

Dill relish today and pork bone broth in the instant pot! 2 hours in the instant pot and making bone broth would normally take 12 to 24 hours on the stove. Turned the instant pot on and let it do its thing while I shredded cucumbers with my kitchen aid mixer attachment.

Today started with plans to take it easy… and somehow turned into a full preservation day. 😂
Pork broth was made and canned, dill relish got finished, vegetables got sorted and saved, dinner happened, and tomorrow’s chicken broth is already waiting in the wings.
I am officially tired, but there is something so satisfying about looking at a counter full of jars and knowing good food didn’t go to waste. 💛
Tonight, the kitchen is closed, the jars are resting, and so am I.

But me two hours later! Look at all these veggies that need preserved!

One coffee later and somehow I’ve got pork broth going, cucumbers headed for dill relish, green beans waiting their turn, carrots everywhere, and a whole lot more produce still looking at me. Zuchinni and corn in the outside fridge. Some will go in freeze dryer too!
This is what harvest season looks like around here — use it, preserve it, and try not to let anything go to waste. 💛
Sewing may have to wait a little bit today… the garden clearly had other plans. 🥒🥕🫙

The kids are off to school, the house is finally a little quiet, and it’s officially Friday. 🙌
I’ve got sewing calling my name, cucumbers that may be destined for dill relish, zucchini that needs used up, and a few ideas bouncing around for some preserving today… but first, I’m giving myself permission to enjoy a slow morning for just a little bit. 💛
Sometimes the to-do list can wait while you sip your coffee, enjoy the quiet, and figure out what kind of day it’s going to be.
