ICHRA has a new name: CHOICE Arrangement, for Custom Health Option and Individual Care Expense Arrangement. CMS and the SBA announced the rebrand this week in Indianapolis.

The terminology is new. The operational reality for health plans is not. Whatever it's called, the same questions apply: Can billing, enrollment, and payment systems handle employer-funded contributions cleanly? And can the member experience hold up against what people expect from employer-sponsored coverage?

Names change. Readiness requirements do not.
