This is NOT true. Fibercast has not been sold or acquired by any other company. No other company is authorized to represent us or act on our behalf.

Please be aware:
• Fibercast has NOT been sold or acquired
• We will never send door-to-door salesmen to switch your service without prior notice
• Do not provide personal or account information to anyone who shows up at your door claiming to represent another company taking over your service

If anyone approaches you claiming Fibercast has been purchased, please call us directly to verify. Do not share your account details with anyone at your door.

Fibercast remains your local, independently owned internet and cable provider.

We’re keeping a close eye on today’s forecast — with severe thunder storms moving through the area, and wind gusts up to 30 mph expected and more unsettled weather into Juneteenth and the weekend.

Our team is monitoring network performance and equipment at our sites across the service area. If you experience any service interruptions during the storms, please give us a call or send a message — we’re standing by and ready to respond quickly.

Attention Nelson and Harrisville customers:

01:30am Update: Service has been restored to all customers.

6:30pm update:
Given the extensive damage and the need to replace the entire mainline fiber bundle current ETR is midnight tonight.

We will be doing emergency repairs on our main line into Nelson due to tree damage last night.
Doing the repair work will result in an outage in town for several hours. We will do our best to get everybody back online as quickly as possible..

🌐 Having WiFi issues?
Here’s how to troubleshoot before you call us!
First, take a look at your ONT (the small white box where your fiber connects). If you see 3 green lights with only one blinking, you’re good — that means your fiber internet is reaching the ONT just fine. The issue is somewhere between the ONT and your WiFi router.

Here’s what to try, in order:
1️⃣ Reboot your WiFi router
Unplug it from the wall, wait about a minute, then plug it back in. Give it up to 5 minutes to fully come back online before testing your connection.
2️⃣ Check your ethernet cable
Make sure the cable running from your ONT to your router is firmly plugged in on both ends and seated in the correct ports. A loose cable is a surprisingly common culprit!
3️⃣ Update your router’s firmware
If your WiFi is still acting up — dropping out, slowing down, or behaving inconsistently — your router may just need a firmware update. Log into your router’s settings (usually through a web browser or its app) and check for any available updates under the settings or administration menu.
