PROJECT 9–12: Technology, Sports and Sustainability in Action
On October 7, 2026, the third edition of Project 9–12, an initiative of JustUsed Tech in collaboration with Passback, brought together sports, technology and the values of SDG 9 and SDG 12.
Ten schools joined us for a day of learning, sports, connection and opportunities.
The day began with a little surprise — rain! But we came rain-proofed. Nothing could dampen the students’ excitement as they kept trooping into the stadium.
The students participated in a session on circular economy, environmental sustainability and responsible digital citizenship, gaining practical knowledge about how technology and environmental responsibility can shape their communities.
Each participating school received a laptop from JustUsed Tech to support access to technology and help bridge the digital divide. The schools also received sports gear, while LASEPA presented souvenirs to some of the students.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for — the sports activities!
In collaboration with Arrows Sports and Education, the students took part in a novelty match between Team Red and Team White, with the JustUsed Tech team, volunteers and Bukunmi Joseph supporting the activities.
The stadium came alive with cheering, laughter and healthy competition.
We were honoured to welcome Mrs. Titilayo Oshodi, MCIPM, FISMN, Special Adviser on Climate Change and Circular Economy to the Governor of Lagos State; Mrs. Olabisi Shonibare of LASEPA; Mrs. Roseline Idehai of Ecobarter; and representatives from Lagos State Education District IV, including Mrs. Agboola, A. O., Mr. Olanrewaju, L. O., Mr. Akanbi Job and Ms. Ameedat.
A special appreciation to Titobi Oreolorun for the vision behind JustUsed Tech and for creating initiatives that continue to connect technology with people, communities and opportunities.
A special thank you to Passback for supporting Project 9–12 with sports gear and helping us bring the spirit of sports to life. We truly appreciate your partnership and support.
We are also grateful to Ecobarter, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency and Arrows Sports and Education for helping make this edition possible.
To every school, teacher, volunteer, partner, guest and, most importantly, every student who showed up thank you.
Project 9–12 is only the beginning.
