I'm sharing some work I did for Contemporary Productions last year. These designs were created for their client, Ranken Jordan who was doing a gala/fundraiser event in late September.
I got a call from Mike Campbell just before Labor Day when I was getting ready to head out of town for 4 days. I believe we had 3.5 weeks total to design the job, get it approved and produced. That's almost unheard of. The turnaround was TIGHT, to say the least. Mike worked out the very do-able though tight schedule and even gave me another super hot job during this time.
Fast forward, I had met with Mike about their vision, gave them some input and provided first concept designs/layouts about 36 hours days after I got back into town.
The overarching idea for the gala was to have a fairytale theme with giant books showing each child's photo and story and wording it in a way that was like a fairytale though their stories were often quite difficult.
The invite and look was already designed so I was able to integrate that into the signage for some cohesion.
I am so pleased with how everything turned out and apparently, it was a huge success.
Here is the result. Let me know your thoughts!
